Not religious, but…
June 15th, 2007 Posted in Annoyances, Social AwarenessI don’t go to church any more, but I was still disappointed that The Stranger’s recent review on thirty different Seattle-area churches was so negative. I have several friends and family members who go to church regularly and, for them, going to church is about belonging to a community. It is interesting that The Stranger often writes about the importance of accepting different lifestyles and viewpoints, but is so quick to attach religion. I’ll agree that many Christians don’t embody the message of love, respect, and humility and often attach those with different points of view or identities, but aren’t these writers doing the same thing?
On a tangential point: there are some funny parts to the article, especially the first paragraph of #17. LOL
