where have I been?
July 16th, 2007 Posted in At HomeSo, I haven’t been updating my site much, I know… I did put some more pictures on my Flickr account, so you can check those out when you have a chance. I spent a week in Bloomington, IN for the Indiana Professional Development Seminar. Of course, I didn’t bring my camera, so I have no pictures to post. One of the non-conference highlights was eating at Scholar’s Inn, my favorite restaurant in Indiana. The conference was very engaging and I met a lot of wonderful people who work at other colleges and universities across the country. On the way, back, I got detoured to Atlanta, San Antonio, and Santa Fe. I got back to Seattle Friday and was lucky to miss the heat wave that passed through the Northwest.
So, we had bamboo flooring installed in our kitchen and bathroom by iFloor. They did a lousy job: our stove was damaged, the toilet was installed incorrectly, they failed to reinstall our sink, several existing floor boards were damaged. They were also very condescending and inconsiderate about the inconvenience this all caused. I have a iFloor gallery on Flickr where you can check out some of the damage; needless to say, I would NOT recommended to install flooring!!!
So, there’s a quick update… this weekend, we’re going to the Quinault rain forest, so I’ll post some pictures once we get back.
