Gian and I took a shore excursion to the Camboriu rain forest instead of spending time wandering around the town. Wow! What a good decision. This was one of the most spectacular places I have ever visited. We rode small cable cars up the side of the mountain, which afforded us some magnificent (and unobstructed) views. Our tour guide took us through the rain forest and taught us about the diverse ecology that exists. It was beautiful. There were, of course, also spectacular beaches. Gian and I have also been enjoying tasty coconut juice, though we might have to ease up on our fruit consumption for the sake of our, um, digestive systems.
