US-based airlines: you suck!

Today, I read in the Seattle Times that American Airlines will start charging $15 to check even one piece of luggage in addition to an already overpriced ticket. Many expect other major carriers to follow suit. The airline defended itself by saying, “Some European carriers charge for every bag. … I think the U.S. airlines are watching that very closely … and they’re following them in small steps.” The difference between the US and European carriers: the flights cost less and the service is significantly better.

Fair Lady? Try Fantastic Lady!

May 5th, 2008 Posted in Movies/Music/Media | No Comments »

This weekend, we went to see My Fair Lady at the Paramount and it was fantastic! The sets and costumes were incredible and the singing was strong across the board. By far, the best moments of the musical were thanks to Tim Jerome’s brilliant portrayal of Alfred P. Doolittle. I have never seen a Seattle crowd have such a vibrant reaction! He was hilarious and really energized the crowd. It’s too bad the Paramount does such short runs of their musical tours. If you didn’t get to see this one, it’s really a shame…
